Your 11-day escapade begins in Melbourne with a city tour to discover the
charms of elegant and contemporary Melbourne. Then start your journey on
the Great Ocean Road hugging Victoria’s rugged southwest coast, on one of
Australia’s most inspiring coastal drives. From Torquay near Geelong, to
Nelson near South Australia, the 300-kilometre road snakes past cliffs,
scenic lookouts, waterfalls, rainforests and historic shipwrecks. Night
halts at Apollo Bay and Port Fairy give you time to visit quaint shops and
pubs. A major highlight of the drive is the 12 Apostles near Port Campbell.
Next, travel the Limestone Coast after Nelson via Mt Gambier with an inland
lake that turns a mysterious blue from February to November, each year to
Robe and Victor Harbour, South Australia’s Whaling centre which offer
interesting night halts. Spend time exploring the Fleurieu Peninsula and
Mclaren Vale with its many cellar doors on the short journey to Adelaide, where
you end your self-drive tour. Discover Adelaide, a city within a park, with
its heritage buildings, Central Market and Rundle Mall. Explore the Barossa
Valley on a winery tour and visit historic Hahndorf in the gentle Adelaide
Hills. Then fly to Singapore for a two-night stay, which includes a city tour,
the Night Safari Tour and a bumboat ride on the Singapore River.
