opportunity to discover the 'Temple of the Sacred Tooth’, which shelters a
very holy relic for the Buddhists, tour the stately capital of Colombo and
enjoy a holiday by the sea at Bentota. You will discover the highlights of

| Sigiriya Rock Fortress |
DAY 1 Colombo - Dambulla You are met
on arrival at Colombo Airport and transferred to Dambulla. On
the way, enjoy a visit to the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage. At
Dambulla, ascend to the Raj Maha Vihara Cave Temple Complex to view
numerous statues of the Buddha and Hindu deities dating back to the 1st Century
BC. Overnight at Dambulla.
DAY 2 Dambulla - Kandy After breakfast visit Sigiriya,
a world heritage site and climb to the top of the 5th Century rock fortress,
built by King Kashyapa. The 'Lion Rock' is a citadel of unusual beauty rising
200 metres from the scrub jungle. Visit the world renowned frescoes of the Heavenly
Maidens of Sigiriya in a sheltered pocket. By lunch you reach the old
royal city of Kandy. Drive around the Kandy Lake built by the last
Sinhala King, Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe in 1798. Visit the Kandy town and bazaar,
the Arts and Crafts Center, a gem museum and a lapidary. In the
evening, pay a visit to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. After
the temple visit, you have the opportunity to attend a dance performance, where
you will see the famous Kandian dances. Overnight at Kandy. (BB)
DAY 3 Kandy - Nuwara Eliya Today, experience a scenic drive
through the Hill Country. Enroute you visit a tea plantation and
tea factory, where the best tea in the world is produced and taste a cup of
pure Ceylon tea. Evening at leisure. Overnight at the Tea Factory,
Nuwara Eliya. (BB)
DAY 4 Nuwara Eliya Explore Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka's
most popular Hill Resort, situated at 2070 m above sea level on a little lake
with one of the finest 18 - hole golf courses in South Asia, surrounded by
mountains planted with tea bushes. A short drive takes you to the Hakgala
Botanical Gardens, one of the pleasure gardens of King Ravana.

DAY 5 Nuwara Eliya - Bentota Depart for Bentota.
Enroute is the hamlet of Kitulgala on the Kelani River where the Oscar
winning movie "Bridge on the River Kwai" was filmed. Arrive at Bentota, the
most famous beach resort in Sri Lanka. Overnight at the Beach Resort,

DAY 6 Bentota Day free for leisure at the Beach Resort.

| National Museum, Colombo |
DAY 8 Bentota - Colombo After breakfast leave for Colombo
for a city tour. Drive past the residential areas where you find the stately
homes of the affluent, the Colombo Museum, the Bandaranaike Memorial
International Conference Hall - a gift from the People's Republic of
China, the New Parliament House in Sri Jayawardenapura and the Folk
Art Center. Also visit the House of Fashion and Odel
Boutiques. Overnight at Colombo. (BB)
DAY 9 Depart Colombo Bid farewell to this unforgettable
country as we transfer you to the Airport for your return flight home. (BB)
